Remo was admitted to Mumbai's Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in December 2011, after experiencing a major health scare. In an interview, he shared that he began feeling unwell while at the gym. On his way home with his wife, Lizelle, he took the elevator and started experiencing severe symptoms, including coughing and nausea.
Lizelle noticed something amiss when she observed Remo's smartwatch, which monitors heart rate and ECG. The screen displayed a prompt questioning his well-being. Upon reaching the hospital, doctors diagnosed him with a major heart attack, revealing that his right artery was completely blocked at 100%.
